For my “Cyanotype” photographic experiment I used photos from my plant collection and nature, but I also used some geometrical drawing. Although these two categories are now my main photographic subject, I chose them because it’s easier to print them on the cyanotype papers. Unfortunately, the low-resolution results of cyanotype prints do not give such nice results when I am printing portraits.
To create my cyanotypes, I mix the two chemicals in water, brush them on my watercolor papers and then leave them to dry and mature in the darkroom. I choose my images, and then turn them into inter-negatives. After that, I expose the inter-negatives to daylight. Finally I wash them for few minutes in cold water and hang them to dry.
